Gandaki Province Defeats Koshi Province by 39 Runs in PM Cup 2026
In an exciting encounter at the Narayani Stadium in Birgunj, Gandaki Province emerged victorious over Koshi Province by 39 runs in the ongoing Prime Minister Cup One Day National Cricket Tournament. The match showcased brilliant batting performances, effective bowling, and intense competition between the two provincial teams.
Batting first, Gandaki Province posted a competitive total of 227 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Arjun Kumal was the star of the innings, scoring a magnificent 102 runs to anchor the innings. He received strong support from Bipin Khatri, who added a valuable 76 runs, helping Gandaki set a challenging target for Koshi Province.
In response, Koshi Province struggled to keep up with the required run rate and were eventually restricted to 188 runs for nine wickets in their 50 overs. Gandaki’s bowlers applied consistent pressure throughout the innings, with Sibrin Shrestha taking three crucial wickets and Aparajit Paudel claiming two more to secure the win.

The Prime Minister Cup features 10 competitive teams, including seven provincial sides and three departmental teams Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, and Nepal APF Club.
