Nepal Cricket has announced a 24-player training camp squad as part of its preparations for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The tournament will begin on 7 February 2026 and will be hosted jointly by India and Sri Lanka.
The training camp will help selectors decide Nepal’s final 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup. Players will compete for places based on form, fitness, and performance during the camp sessions.
Nepal selectors have retained the core group of players who recently delivered strong results at the international level. This includes the squad that secured a historic 2–1 T20I series victory over West Indies, one of Nepal’s biggest achievements in T20 cricket.
The squad also features several new players who impressed during the Nepal Premier League. Their inclusion gives the team greater depth and more options across batting, bowling, and all-round roles.
Captain Rohit Paudel continues to lead the group, while experienced players such as Dipendra Singh Airee, Sandeep Lamichhane, and Sompal Kami remain key figures in Nepal’s World Cup plans. Airee recently drew attention with his outstanding fielding, including multiple direct-hit run-outs during regional qualifiers.
Nepal qualified for the T20 World Cup 2026 after an unbeaten run at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia-Pacific Regional Final held in Oman. This qualification marked Nepal’s second consecutive appearance at the tournament and their third overall.
The team will compete in Group C, where they will face strong opponents including England, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Italy. The group stage will test Nepal’s consistency and ability to perform under pressure against top international sides.
