Punjab Kings Dominate Lucknow with Record 254 in IPL 2026 Clash

Punjab Kings continued their unbeaten run in IPL 2026 with a massive 54-run win over Lucknow, thanks to explosive innings from Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly.

In a high-scoring encounter in the Indian Premier League 2026, Punjab Kings (PBKS) delivered a commanding performance to defeat Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by a huge margin of 54 runs, further strengthening their position at the top of the points table.

Punjab Kings Post Record Total

Batting first, Punjab Kings put up a massive total of 254/7 in 20 overs, the highest score of the IPL 2026 season so far. The innings was powered by a sensational batting display from Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly, who built a dominant partnership.

  • Priyansh Arya smashed 93 runs off just 37 balls
  • Cooper Connolly added a brilliant 87 runs off 46 balls

Their explosive partnership of over 180 runs completely dismantled the Lucknow bowling attack. Despite the onslaught, LSG bowlers Prince Yadav and M. Siddharth managed to pick up two wickets each.

Lucknow’s Response Falls Short

Chasing a daunting target of 255 runs, Lucknow Super Giants struggled to keep up with the required run rate and finished at 200/5 in 20 overs.

  • Rishabh Pant top-scored with 43 runs
  • Aiden Markram contributed 42 runs
  • Mitchell Marsh chipped in with 40 runs

Although the top order showed some resistance, the massive target proved too much to chase.

Punjab’s bowling unit did enough to maintain control, with Marco Jansen leading the attack by taking crucial wickets at key moments.

Match Highlights

  • Player of the Match: Priyansh Arya (93 off 37)
  • Highest Team Total (IPL 2026): 254/7 by PBKS
