Rajasthan Royals Dominate CSK with 8-Wicket Win in IPL 2026 Opener

Rajasthan Royals (RR) kicked off their TATA IPL 2026 campaign in style, securing a dominant eight-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Guwahati. Delivering a complete team performance, RR outplayed CSK in both bowling and batting departments.

After winning the toss, RR chose to bowl first—and their decision paid off immediately. The pace duo of Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger tore through CSK’s top order with pace and precision. Burger struck early, while Archer followed up by removing key batter Ruturaj Gaikwad, leaving CSK struggling at 19/2 within three overs.

For CSK, Anshul Kamboj was the only bowler to make some impact, picking up two wickets, but it was far from enough to stop RR’s dominance.
