Nepal Telecom Expands Prepaid Roaming Service to 62 Countries Worldwide

Nepal Telecom has expanded its prepaid roaming service to a total of 62 countries, enhancing connectivity options for customers traveling internationally. The expansion has been made possible through agreements with 89 telecom operators across different parts of the world.

According to the company, the latest expansion includes partnerships with service providers in countries such as Latvia, Slovenia, Turkey, Taiwan, Australia, Ghana, Romania, and Laos. This move follows ongoing efforts in the current fiscal year to broaden international coverage and improve customer convenience.

With this development, Nepal Telecom users can now access essential mobile services—including voice calls, internet data, and SMS—while abroad. The service is available in a wide range of destinations across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and other regions, covering major travel and business hubs.

The telecom operator believes that the expanded roaming network will greatly benefit customers who frequently travel overseas for work, study, or tourism. By enabling seamless communication abroad, the service reduces the need for purchasing local SIM cards in foreign countries.

For customers traveling to India, prepaid users can activate roaming by dialing *14157# and selecting the roaming option from the menu. Postpaid users can also enable the service by maintaining a minimum balance requirement or using the same activation code if not previously registered.

Additionally, customers planning to travel can activate the service before departure by submitting a prepaid roaming registration form via email along with the required documents. This ensures uninterrupted service as soon as they arrive at their destination.

With this expansion, Nepal Telecom continues to strengthen its international service offerings, aiming to provide reliable and accessible communication solutions for its growing customer base.
