RCB Crush CSK by 43 Runs in High-Scoring IPL 2026 Thriller

Royal Challengers Bengaluru delivered a dominant performance, defeating Chennai Super Kings by 43 runs after posting a massive 250/3 in IPL 2026.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) delivered a commanding performance to defeat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 43 runs in a high-scoring clash during IPL 2026 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Batting first after CSK opted to bowl, RCB put up a massive total of 250/3 in 20 overs, marking their highest-ever score against CSK in IPL history. The innings was powered by an explosive finishing display from Tim David, who smashed an unbeaten 70 runs off just 25 balls at a stunning strike rate of 280.

RCB got off to a solid start with contributions from Phil Salt (46 off 30) and Devdutt Padikkal, who scored a quick half-century off 29 balls. After Virat Kohli’s early dismissal for 28, the middle order took control of the game.

The highlight came in the death overs when Tim David unleashed a brutal assault on the CSK bowlers. In the 19th over, he hammered Jamie Overton for 30 runs, including multiple sixes, one of which traveled a massive 106 meters into the stands. Rajat Patidar supported brilliantly with an unbeaten 48 off 19 balls, as the duo stitched together a crucial 99-run partnership to push RCB to a daunting total.

In response, CSK struggled to keep up with the steep target of 251. Early wickets, including Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ayush Mhatre, put them under immediate pressure. Sarfaraz Khan fought back with a quick 50 off 25 balls, but the rising required run rate forced risky shots.

Despite valuable contributions from Prashant Veer (43) and Jamie Overton (37), CSK were bowled out for 207 runs in 19.4 overs, falling short by 43 runs.

RCB’s bowling unit delivered a disciplined performance. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the standout bowler, picking up 3 wickets for 41 runs and achieving a major milestone by completing 200 IPL wickets. Suyash Sharma also impressed with tight bowling, conceding just 21 runs in his four overs.

Tim David was named Player of the Match for his match-winning knock, which played a crucial role in securing RCB’s emphatic victory.

With this win, RCB continues strong momentum in IPL 2026, showcasing their batting firepower and all-round dominance.
