Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ Wins Rukum East by Large Margin

In Rukum East, Nepali Communist Party (NCP) leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is leading by a large margin in the ongoing House of Representatives election. According to the latest count, out of 15,823 votes tallied so far, Prachanda has secured 8,747 votes, while his closest competitor, Lilamani Gautam, has received 3,017 votes.

The total number of votes cast in the constituency is 19,188, leaving 3,365 votes still to be counted. Even with the remaining votes, Prachanda’s lead of 5,460 votes ensures a decisive victory, making it almost certain that he will win the constituency.

Although vote counting is still ongoing and the formal election result announcement is pending, the current figures clearly indicate a dominant performance by Prachanda and the NCP in Rukum East.

Political analysts suggest that this victory highlights the continuing influence of Prachanda in national politics and reflects the strong support he enjoys in his home constituency. The final results will be officially declared once the remaining ballots are counted.
