LSG vs SRH IPL 2026: Rishabh Pant Leads Lucknow to 5-Wicket Victory
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) registered a solid 5-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 10 of the IPL 2026 on April 5, delivering a well-rounded performance with both bat and ball.
Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad had a disastrous start as they were reduced to 35/4 within the first 10 overs, thanks to a brilliant opening spell by Mohammed Shami, who picked up two crucial wickets while conceding very few runs.
However, SRH bounced back strongly through a crucial 100-run partnership between Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy. Klaasen scored a composed 62 off 41 balls, while Reddy played an aggressive knock of 56 off 33 deliveries, helping SRH post a competitive total of 156/9 in their 20 overs.
For LSG, alongside Shami, Prince Yadav contributed with two wickets, keeping the opposition in check during the death overs.
Chasing 157, Lucknow Super Giants showed composure despite losing wickets at regular intervals. Captain Rishabh Pant led from the front with an unbeaten 68 off 50 balls, anchoring the innings under pressure. He found solid support from Aiden Markram, who scored a quick 45 off 27 balls to keep the run chase on track.
LSG eventually reached the target in 19.5 overs, finishing at 160/5 and sealing an important win in the tournament.
For SRH, Harsh Dubey was the standout bowler with figures of 2/18, but his efforts were not enough to stop LSG’s steady chase.
Match Highlights:
- SRH: 156/9 (20 overs)
- LSG: 160/5 (19.5 overs)
- Result: LSG won by 5 wickets
