Deepal S05 Tops JD Power 2026 China Quality Study in Pure Electric SUV Segment
The Deepal S05 from Deepal has ranked first in the JD Power 2026 China Initial Quality Study under the Pure Electric SUV category. This recognition highlights the vehicle’s strong performance in quality and reliability in China’s fast-growing electric vehicle market.
Within just about a year of its launch, the Deepal S05 has sold more than 200,000 units across over 70 countries, making it one of the most successful EV exports from China. This latest achievement is expected to further boost its reputation, especially in markets like Nepal where it is already gaining popularity.
The SUV measures 4.62 meters in length and has a wheelbase of 2.88 meters. It is available in both fully electric and range-extended versions. In Nepal, the model comes with a 99 kW motor paired with a 56.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a driving range of up to 405 kilometers on a single charge.
The 2026 JD Power study evaluated 137 vehicle models from 49 brands across 81 cities in China. Feedback was collected from over 21,000 vehicle owners who had used their cars for two to six months. Based on these real user experiences, the Deepal S05 performed strongly in areas such as software, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and overall build quality.
At a time when many electric vehicles face challenges due to complex technology and software systems, the success of the Deepal S05 highlights its strong engineering and reliability. As the brand continues to expand in Nepal, this recognition is likely to make the S05 an even more attractive option for customers looking for a modern, dependable, and technology-driven electric SUV.
