Yambaling Hydropower IPO Opens for General Public from Today

Yambaling Hydropower Limited has officially opened its Initial Public Offering (IPO) for the general public starting from Baishakh 16, 2083. The company is issuing 17,43,000 unit shares at a face value of Rs. 100 per share.

According to the schedule, the IPO will remain open until Baishakh 22, 2083. If the issue is not fully subscribed within this period, the closing date may be extended until Baishakh 30, 2083.

The total issued capital of the company stands at Rs. 70 Crores. Out of this, 40% or 28,00,000 shares are allocated for public investors. Earlier, 7,00,000 shares worth Rs. 7 Crores were already distributed to project-affected locals of Sindhupalchok District.

The remaining 21,00,000 shares were reserved for public investors. From this pool, 2,10,000 shares were allotted to Nepali citizens working abroad, 42,000 shares were reserved for company employees, and 1,05,000 shares were set aside for mutual funds. The balance 17,43,000 shares are now available for the general public.

Muktinath Capital Limited has been appointed as the issue manager for the offering. Investors can apply for a minimum of 10 units and a maximum of 21,000 units.

In terms of credit rating, CARE Ratings Nepal Limited has reaffirmed the company’s issuer rating at CARE-NP BB- (Is), indicating a moderate risk in meeting financial obligations on time.

Established in 2007 and converted into a public company in 2021, Yambaling Hydropower operates the 7.27 MW Yambaling Khola Hydropower Project in Sindhupalchok. The project started commercial operations on February 20, 2024 under the BOOT (Build, Own, Operate, Transfer) model.
