Nepal Crushes China by 221 Runs in Asian Games Cricket Qualifier; Kushal Bhurtel Smashes Stunning Century

Nepal secured a commanding 221-run victory over China in the Asian Games Cricket Qualifier in Singapore. Kushal Bhurtel starred with a blistering 129 off 43 balls, while Nepal's bowlers dismantled China for just 92 runs.

Nepal delivered a dominant all-round performance to register a massive 221-run victory over China in the Asian Games Cricket Qualifier on Sunday. Led by a sensational century from Kushal Bhurtel, Nepal outclassed China in every department and strengthened its position in the qualification campaign.

Batting first after winning the toss, Nepal posted an imposing total of 313 runs for the loss of just two wickets, putting immense pressure on the Chinese bowling attack. The batting lineup displayed aggressive intent from the start, with the top order dismantling the opposition bowlers throughout the innings.

The star of the match was Kushal Bhurtel, who produced a breathtaking knock of 129 runs from just 43 balls. His explosive innings included 5 boundaries and 16 towering sixes, making it one of the most destructive performances by a Nepali batter in recent cricket history.

Supporting Bhurtel brilliantly, Kushal Malla contributed 85 runs, while Nepal captain Rohit Paudel added an unbeaten 69 runs, helping Nepal cross the 300-run mark with ease.

Facing a daunting target of 314 runs, China never looked comfortable in the chase. Nepal's bowlers maintained tight lines and regularly picked up wickets, preventing the Chinese batting lineup from building any meaningful partnerships.

China was eventually bowled out for 92 runs in 19.2 overs, handing Nepal a comprehensive victory by 221 runs.

For China, only three batters managed to reach double figures. Zheng Senjian top-scored with 31 runs, while Jianhao Du contributed 17 and Tian Shengun added 12 runs. The remaining batting lineup struggled against Nepal's disciplined bowling attack.

With the ball, Kushal Malla completed an outstanding all-round performance by claiming three wickets. Experienced pacer Sompal Kami and leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane picked up two wickets each, while Nandan Yadav also got among the wickets.

The commanding victory highlights Nepal's growing strength in international cricket and boosts the team's confidence as it continues its quest for qualification in the Asian Games cricket competition. Nepal's powerful batting display combined with disciplined bowling proved too much for China, resulting in one of the most convincing wins of the tournament so far.
