Over 104,000 Students Receive Non-Graded Results in NEB Class 12 Exams 2026
The National Examination Board (NEB) has revealed that 104,071 students received Non-Graded (NG) results in the Class 12 Examinations 2026, according to the results published on Friday.
Out of the total 418,170 students who appeared for the examination, more than one lakh students failed to secure the minimum required grades needed to pass. Despite this, the board has provided an opportunity for eligible students to improve their results through chance examinations.
More Than One Lakh Students Receive NG
According to NEB, a total of 104,071 students were categorized as Non-Graded after the publication of the Class 12 results.
The board reported that 64.13 percent of the total examinees successfully passed the examination, while the remaining students either received Non-Graded results or faced other examination-related actions.
This year's Class 12 examinations began on Baisakh 14 and were conducted across examination centers nationwide.
Who Can Apply for the Chance Examination?
The National Examination Board has announced that students who meet specific criteria will be eligible to participate in the chance examination.
Students can apply for the chance examination if:
- They have obtained a grade of D or above in all other theoretical subjects.
- They have received Non-Graded results in a maximum of two subjects.
- They were absent in a maximum of two subjects.
The chance examination provides students with an opportunity to improve their academic standing without waiting for the next regular examination cycle.
Examination Cancellations and Disciplinary Action
NEB has also taken disciplinary action against students found violating examination regulations.
According to the board:
- The examinations of 38 students were canceled.
- Two students received additional punishment and will be barred from participating in any examination conducted by the National Examination Board for one year.
The board stated that strict measures were enforced to maintain fairness, transparency, and examination discipline.
