Netanyahu Says Israeli Strikes Destroyed 70% of Iran’s Steel Capacity

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claims recent airstrikes have destroyed 70% of Iran’s steel production, targeting key industrial resources and escalating regional tensions.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that recent Israeli airstrikes in Iran have caused major damage to the country’s steel industry, destroying nearly 70% of its total production capacity. He described this as a significant strategic success.

Steel plays a crucial role in both industrial development and military production, as it is used in manufacturing weapons such as missiles, drones, and naval equipment. Netanyahu emphasized that weakening Iran’s steel sector would directly impact its defense capabilities and financial resources.

He further said that Israel, along with support from the United States, will continue targeting key infrastructure and military-linked industries in Iran. According to him, the goal is to limit the power and influence of Iran’s ruling system.

Netanyahu also claimed that two of Iran’s largest steel producers  Khuzestan Steel Company and Mobarakeh Steel Company  have been heavily damaged and are currently out of operation due to the strikes. Rebuilding these facilities could take several months.

In response to these attacks, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have reportedly launched missile and drone strikes targeting industrial areas in the region, including locations in Israel, increasing tensions further.
