Nepali Congress’ Tek Bahadur Gurung Wins Manang Seat

Nepali Congress candidate Tek Bahadur Gurung has won the Manang constituency with 2,415 votes, defeating NCP’s Yashoda Subedi Gurung. This marks the party’s second victory after Mustang. 🚨

Manang – Nepali Congress candidate Tek Bahadur Gurung has been elected from the Manang constituency in the ongoing House of Representatives Election 2082, securing a convincing victory with 2,415 votes.

According to Chief Election Officer Ram Prasad Paudel, Gurung won the seat after the completion of vote counting in the district. His closest competitor, Yashoda Subedi Gurung of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), received 454 votes, finishing in second place.

Another candidate, Ram Bahadur Ghale of the National Mongol Organization, secured 9 votes in the constituency.

With this result, Nepali Congress has secured its second victory in the ongoing parliamentary elections. Earlier, Yogesh Gauchan Thakali had already won the election from Mustang, giving the party its first seat in the current vote count.

Manang, one of Nepal’s smallest constituencies in terms of population, often produces quick election results due to the relatively low number of voters. Despite the small electorate, the constituency holds strategic political importance, and the outcome contributes to the overall national tally of party victories.

The victory of Tek Bahadur Gurung adds momentum for the Nepali Congress as vote counting continues in multiple constituencies across the country. More results are expected to be announced as the counting process progresses.
