Trump Signals Islamabad Visit for Iran Peace Deal, Praises Pakistan’s Role

Donald Trump has indicated he may visit Islamabad if a peace agreement with Iran is finalized, highlighting Pakistan’s growing role in regional diplomacy.

Donald Trump has expressed his willingness to visit Islamabad as part of efforts to finalize a potential peace agreement with Iran, signaling a new phase in ongoing diplomatic negotiations.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump acknowledged Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue and described its contribution to the peace process as “positive and important.”

Pakistan’s Growing Role in Peace Talks

Trump stated that if a deal with Iran is successfully concluded in Pakistan, he would be open to traveling to Islamabad to mark the occasion. His remarks come at a time when diplomatic efforts are intensifying in the region.

He also praised Pakistan’s leadership, including Army Chief Asim Munir, who is currently in Tehran working on peace initiatives, and the country’s prime minister for their involvement in negotiations.

Regional Diplomacy and Global Attention

In addition to Pakistan, Trump also highlighted his positive relationship with Narendra Modi, describing him as a close friend and commending his leadership. This reflects ongoing diplomatic engagement between the United States and key South Asian nations.

Ceasefire Efforts in the Middle East

Trump’s comments come shortly after he announced a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, aimed at reducing tensions in the region. He has also urged the armed group Hezbollah to respect the ceasefire and avoid further escalation.

These developments indicate continued international efforts to stabilize the Middle East amid ongoing conflicts and negotiations.

The possibility of a high-level visit to Islamabad highlights the importance of Pakistan in current geopolitical negotiations. As discussions with Iran continue, global attention remains focused on whether diplomatic efforts will lead to a lasting agreement and improved regional stability.
