SEE 2082 Results Show Improvement in Nepal

The National Examination Board (NEB) has announced improved SEE 2082 results in Nepal, with the pass rate rising to 65.98% from 61.81% last year. A total of 430,667 students participated, and 284,160 were graded successfully.

The National Examination Board (NEB) has officially published the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) 2082 results, showing a clear improvement in student performance compared to previous years. The results were announced on Monday night, bringing encouraging news for the education sector in Nepal.

According to Examination Controller Tukaraj Adhikari, a total of 430,667 students participated in the SEE examination from across the country in the regular category. Out of them, 284,160 students have been graded successfully, while 146,507 students fall under the non-graded (NG) category.

The overall pass percentage for this year has reached 65.98%, marking a significant improvement in Nepal’s SEE results.

When compared to previous years, the data clearly shows a positive trend. In SEE 2081, the pass rate was 61.81%, meaning this year has seen an increase of 4.17 percentage points. Even more notable is the comparison with SEE 2080, where only 47.86% of students had passed and 52.14% were placed in the NG category. This shows a continuous improvement in academic performance over the past two years.

Education analysts consider this upward trend a positive signal for Nepal’s schooling system, suggesting better preparation, improved teaching methods, and increased student engagement in recent years.

The GPA distribution of this year’s SEE results also highlights student performance levels across different grades. A total of 48,392 students achieved the highest GPA range of 3.60 to 4.00, reflecting strong academic excellence.

Similarly, 80,372 students scored between 3.20 to 3.60 GPA, while 94,222 students fell in the 2.80 to 3.20 GPA range. Another 55,977 students achieved 2.40 to 2.80 GPA.

In the lower GPA brackets, 5,190 students scored between 2.00 to 2.40, while only 7 students were recorded in the 1.00 to 2.00 GPA range, as confirmed by the board.

The NEB has stated that the SEE examination remains a crucial academic milestone in Nepal, determining students’ eligibility for higher secondary education. The improvement in results is expected to boost confidence among students and parents alike.

With consecutive years of progress, Nepal’s education system appears to be moving toward better academic outcomes, although challenges still remain for students in the non-graded category.

The National Examination Board has encouraged students to use official platforms for result verification and stay informed about supplementary examinations and further academic opportunities.
