Drone Attack Sparks Fuel Tank Fire Near Dubai Airport, Flights Temporarily Suspended

A drone strike early Monday morning caused a major fire in a fuel storage tank near Dubai International Airport, leading authorities to temporarily suspend flight operations as a safety precaution. The incident created panic in the area as a loud explosion-like sound was heard and flames were seen rising near airport facilities.

According to the Dubai Media Office, emergency response teams and civil defense units were immediately dispatched to the scene. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze and successfully brought the fire under control within a short time.

Officials confirmed that the fire started after a drone hit a fuel tank located close to the airport premises. In a statement, authorities said the damaged tank had been secured and the situation was fully under control. No injuries or fatalities have been reported so far.
