RSP Wraps Up Orientation Program for Newly Elected Parliament Members
The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has concluded its two-day orientation and introduction program designed for newly elected members of the House of Representatives. Held in Lalitpur on Chaitra 3 and 4, the event centered around the theme “Leadership of Change, Politics of Results,” aiming to prepare lawmakers for effective parliamentary roles.
The program was officially inaugurated by party leaders, highlighting the importance of transforming public trust into measurable outcomes. During the sessions, party officials stressed the need for responsible leadership, clear policy direction, and strong engagement with citizens. Speakers encouraged lawmakers to focus on delivering tangible results rather than symbolic politics.
Participants received in-depth briefings on Nepal’s constitutional framework, parliamentary procedures, lawmaking processes, and governance standards. Experts and former officials conducted sessions on policy analysis, budgeting, and the functioning of parliamentary committees, helping attendees gain practical insights into their responsibilities.
The orientation also explored modern challenges, including the influence of artificial intelligence and digital systems on democracy and governance. Interactive discussions and group activities allowed members to exchange ideas, while experienced parliamentarians shared lessons from their previous terms.
In the closing session, party leadership outlined future strategies and urged members to remain disciplined, accountable, and focused on public service. Emphasis was placed on national development priorities, including regional balance, job creation, and strengthening key sectors such as education and industry.
