Nepali kickboxer Aviral Ghimire, widely known as the “Himalayan Cheetah,” has created history by winning the K-1 Cross 188 Kickboxing Championship in Tokyo, Japan. With this victory, he becomes the first Nepali fighter to win the prestigious K-1 Cross title twice, setting a new world record.
In the championship bout held on Saturday, Ghimire delivered an impressive performance by defeating Japan’s Riku via knockout. According to his father and fellow boxer Dev Ghimire, the fight ended in the third round, with Aviral knocking out his opponent in just the second minute.
